Samuel Early Croy III, 77, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, at his residence. He was born October 12, 1944, in Princeton, WV to the late Samuel Croy II and Mary Powell Croy. Samuel retired from Eastman Kodak Company and was a proud member of N.A. and had been clean for thirty-eight years and had served as State Secretary for the organization. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Diane Smith and husband, Jerry, Chip Blair, Steven Croy and Rebecca Croy; grandson, Seth Croy and several other grandchildren; brother, Howard Croy; sister, Julana Croy McClellan; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Avalon Hospice, especially, Vera, Yasmine, Jessica and Desiree for their compassionate care of Samuel.
