Shirley Jean Jones

Shirley Jean Horne Jones, 79, of Kingsport, went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 22, 2018, at Nova Health and Rehab, Weber City, VA.Shirley was born to the late Benjamin and Ina Sluss Horne. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Walnut Chapel.She had worked at Woolworth’s and Kress. Shirley was the happiest in the company of her family and friends.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Hillman, and two brothers, Claude and Clarence Horne.Shirley is survived by her husband, Harold S Jones, brother, J. L. Horne, a special cousin, Bill Kiser and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.A Committal Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Meditation.
