Susan Marie Hutson, 50, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Holston Valley Medical Center.Susan was born on August 20, 1971, in Ellicott City, MD to William and Charmain Gibson. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Kingsport, TN and she loved to sing, especially Southern Gospel Music. Susan was a hard worker, creator and she was a “fixer”. She had the most loving heart and forgave the unforgivable and did everything with the best intentions. Susan was a loving wife, momma, granny, daughter, sister, aunt, a friend to many and bossy to everyone. She was known lovingly by many sweet names, “Granny”, “Mamaw Grandma”, “Susie” and “Susa”. Susan was preceded in death by several close aunts and uncles; her father-in-law, Edward Hutson.Those left to cherish Susan’s memory are her “Honey”, Dennis; daughters, Britta Gibson-Hardin and husband, Josh H., Kayla Hutson and husband, Josh E.; son, Justin Hutson; grandson, Dawson Hemling who was her pride and joy; parents, William and Charmain Gibson; and her sister, Christine Bright; and all the very special kids at church.The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ, 501 Bell Ridge Rd., Kingsport, TN.A Gathering of Remembrance will follow at 6:00 pm.To share memories and condolences with the family please visit www.oakhillfh.comThe care of Susan Marie Huston and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
You’ll forever be a staple in the hearts of these children. You have done so much great for so many people. I wish I could’ve known you better! You were so funny and I loved hearing you sing and play that piano. Your voice was anointed by Jesus Christ himself. I know you’re up there playing and singing for Jesus now. You’ve got the best voice in heaven Susie. Give Jesus a hug for me and tell him I can’t wait to meet him. Love you lady!
I will never forget the first time I met you Susan. It was after mamaw and pap got married, and I had come to spend the night with them. You were always a fun sweet cousin to be around. Love and miss you.
I remember Susie singing Unclouded Day and coming up off of the piano spinning as she danced before the Lord.
