Sylvia Charlene Lane, 80, of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Holston Valley Medical Center.Sylvia was born on October 12, 1938, in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Garvie and Lovely Lane.She had worked in administration for many years for Mason-Dixon Corporation. She enjoyed gardening and she was of the Baptist faith.Sylvia was also preceded in death by three siblings, Deward Lane, Marie Norris, and Vivian Price.Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Irene Lane Belk and husband, Harry; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 24, 2019, in the Garden of Gethsemane at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating.The care of Sylvia Charlene Lane and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
Sylvia was the most wonderful caring person. She always came to the library with a smile on her face and always told us she loved us when she was leaving. We will miss her so much. She was such a special friend and we are so thankful that she visited the library and was a part of our lives. She will be truly missed.
