Teresa Robin Lane, 63 of Kingsport, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, following an extended illness. Robin was born in Scott County, Virginia on January 1, 1959, to the late Betty Fay Lane. She enjoyed working as a certified nursing assistant for over 20 years with her elderly residents. In addition to her mother, Robin was preceded in death by her aunt, Pauline “Sis” Bishop and husband Tee; son-in-law, Eddie Lee Gibson; cousin, Doris Jones; and special friend, Patsy Sexton. Left to cherish Robin’s memory are her children, Wendy Brooke Gibson Barrett (Tim) and Bruce Lee Sexton; grandson, Ethan Gibson; uncle, Elmo Lane (Tammy); special friends, Drew and Rebecca Sturgill; and many other loving friends and family. Robin and I worked together at Asbury at Baysmont for a while. I remember working 2nd shift with her and Peggy Robertson. The two of them were quite a team & working with them made Mr appreciate the concept of teamwork even more. She was s joy to be around & to work with. She always had a smile on her face. I hated to hear the news when she had her fall in the Baysmont House. I remember when I went to see her at HealthSouth (now Encompass), she looked happy to see me. She told me something that day that surprised me. Robin, you will be missed. RIP my beautiful friend.

Robin was my cousin and we grew up together. She will be so missed by me and all the lives she touched. Robin lived with aunt Betty and Grandma Lane and things were hard for her growing up but she became a loving king and caring person.I am proud of how she became an awesome person. I loved her so much and will always cherish the memories I have of us. RIP my sweet cousin.

I met her many years ago at The Brian Center. She is the one who orientated me. She was a wonderful CNA and such an amazing person. She was so funny and always made us laugh. God only takes the best I've heard and he sure got a great one ❤️
