Terry Lynn New

Terry Lynn New, 66, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2018.He was born in Kingsport on April 16, 1952. Terry was a 1970 graduate of Ketron High School where he played football. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army from 1972 through 1980, serving in the Army Security Agency. Terry retired from Eastman Chemical Company in 2006 with 36 years as a Mechanic. He has been an active member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. Terry enjoyed playing golf, loved spending time with his family, going to Garden City, S.C. and driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway.He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Lane New and his father, Artemus “Andy” New. Survivors include his loving wife of 7 years, Rhonda New; loving daughters, April Smith and Amber Allen and husband, Charles; granddaughter that was his pride and joy, Alexis Allen; mother of his children, Donna Depew New; wife of his late father, Becky New and several cousins.A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
