We call her mom and mamaw.” Love Always,Your FamilyTrula Lee Woods, 72, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.Trula was born on February 7, 1947, in Kingsport, TN to the late Duddley and Dora May Gibson. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Trula’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Bruce Woods; brother, A.G. Gibson; sisters, Mary Rogers and Lou Genie Gilliam.Those left to cherish Trula’s memory are her children, Patricia Williams (Dean), Steve Woods (fiancé, Sandy Matthews); sister, Linda May Linkous; grandchildren, Tabethia and Rachel Williams, Shawn Woods (Brittany), adopted granddaughter, Ashley Paige Stacey; great-grandson, Daniel James Woods; two step- grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Debbie and Pete Inscoe.The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, July 26, 2019, in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Don Derrick officiating.A Graveside Service will follow in Christus Garden at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
