Truman Tilson

Truman Wayne Tilson, 85, of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at his residence. He was born September 13, 1933, in Saint Joseph, Missouri to the late Sardis and Margaret Hurley Tilson.Wayne was a plain and simple man who loved his wife dearly. His hobbies included playing golf, watching football and basketball games and playing cards.He retired from American Bridge Company as an iron worker.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Rusty Tilson and Rodney Tilson.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of sixty-five years, Dorothy Tilson; daughter, Robin Short (Danny); sons, Tony Tilson (Caroline) and Ricky Tilson; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Lawson Hedger and Deborah Tilson; one nephew.Wayne had requested no services be held but family members and friends may call at the residence any time.To leave an online condolence for the family please visit www.oakhillfh.comThe care of Truman Wayne Tilson and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
