Wanda Wallen Simpson, 59, of Rogersville, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 27, 2017, at her residence following a long illness. She was born May 17, 1958, in Hawkins County, TN to the late, Ray and Willivine Bishop Wallen.Wanda was a loving and kind lady who never met a stranger. She enjoyed cooking and no one ever left her home hungry. Her hobbies included quilting and gardening. Wanda was a devout Christian and a member of Calvary Worship Center Church, Kingsport.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Simpson; brothers, J.B. Wallen, Jimmy Wallen and Jerry Wallen.Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of forty-three years, David Simpson; daughter, Betty Jo Mullins; son, Jerry Simpson; granddaughter, Corie Hall; great granddaughter, Rylee Hall; sisters, Brenda Spears and Rita Lloyd (Tommy).A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Calvary Worship Center Church, 500 Lucy Road, Kingsport, TN. Pastor Larry Bledsoe will officiate.The care of Wanda Wallen Simpson and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.Read Obituary
