William Hartsock

William B. Hartsock, 98, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Crown Cypress. He was born September 28, 1922, in Dungannon, VA.William was a loving and kind Christian gentleman who was a great neighbor.He was an accomplished artist and taught art and ballroom dancing at The Kingsport Senior Center. He enjoyed reading his Bible and was an avid bird watcher.Mr. Hartsock graduated as Valedictorian of his graduating class and received a scholarship to attend William & Mary College in Williamsburg, VA where he studied Pre-Law.William retired as manager of Kingsport Electric. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Cooke Hartsock; and his parents, Arris and Sallie Dingus Hartsock.Those left to cherish his memory are his special friends, Michael and Barbara Baldwin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.Military Entombment Rites will be conducted by The American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City, VA Post #265 at 1:00 pm Monday, March 22, 2021, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Mausoleum I.Due to Covid-19 those attending the Entombment Service are requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing.To leave an online condolence for the family please visit www.oakhillfh.comThe care of William B.
