Zachary Ellis Harrell

Zachary Ellis Harrell, 18, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident along with his best friend, Ryan Wallace. Zach was a thoughtful and independent young man who loved his family and friends dearly. He enjoyed playing video games and watching movies. Zach was always there to help others whether it was mowing lawns or working on cars. He was quiet until he and Ryan got together, then the silence ended and the fun loving side of him came out. He would make you laugh so hard at his jokes, sayings and crazy noises.Zach had previously worked as a cook at Seagull’s Restaurant in Lancaster, SC and was presently employed at Hardee’s in Mount Carmel, TN.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Harlan; maternal great-grandparents, J.R. and Celesta Bowser; paternal great-grandparents, Paul and Lucille Calton, Jim and Lyda Harrell; sister, Celesta Michelle Brooks; brother, Mark Clinton Harrell, Jr.Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Missy Harrell (Chuck Starnes); father, Mark Harrell; sister, Anitra Little; brother, Richard Little II; maternal grandmother, Linda Wade; paternal grandparents, David and Jan Harrell; aunts, Cindi (Matt), Sherry, Sandy (Ryan) and Leanne; nieces, Jazlyn and Mallory; numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; dog, Jasper.The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 5:00-6:45 pm in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Bruce Crumbley, Jr. officiating. Friends may also call any time at the residence of Zach's maternal grandmother, Linda Wade, 4141 Potato Hill Road, Kingsport.A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.
