Louella Roberts

Louella G. Roberts, 94, passed away on April 15, 2019, at her home in Marietta, Ga.Ms. Roberts had been in declining health for the past year. She was born on December 16, 1924 in New Market, TN and was raised in Morristown, Tennessee. She moved to Kingsport after graduating from Morristown High School. In 1997, she moved to Marietta, Georgia to be near her two sons.Ms. Roberts was a member of the Maple Avenue United Methodist Church in Marietta, Ga. She taught first grade for 28 years in the Kingsport City and Sullivan County school systems. She graduated from East Tennessee State University.She is survived by her son, David Roberts and wife, Maria and son, Kenneth. She has one granddaughter, Katie. Also surviving Ms. Roberts is her brother-in-law, Kenneth L. Roberts and wife Delphine of Nashville and two nephews, Patrick (Laura) and Kenneth, Jr.Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 12:00 noon with Rev. James Moore of Marietta, Georgia officiating.Interment will immediately follow in the Garden of Resurrection of Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Lane, Fred Cooper, Rodney Burton, George Carty, George Penn, Phil Osborne, and Alan Osborne.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, 63 Maple Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064.The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers, Devi Singh and Lynn Hopkins.The care of Louella G.
