Mary Sue Williams

Mary Sue Bond Williams, 92, of Kingsport, entered into rest, Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at her residence following an extended illness.She was born in Greene Co. on January 19, 1927 and had lived in Kingsport most of her life.Mary Sue graduated from Sullivan High School and retired from Eastman Chemical Co. after 37 years of service.After retiring, she enjoyed her job, handing out samples to the public, for several companies, including Food City.Mary Sue was a Baptist and attended Orebank Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and attended several gospel music concerts.Mary Sue also loved shopping and eating a variety of different foods. “Let’s go” and “I’m ready” were her favorite words.She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bonnie Hawkins Bond; husbands, Alvin M. Williams and Robert Marion Jones; special son in law, Ralph D. Tomlinson; sisters, Kate and Edna; brothers, Howard, Ray, Bob and Frank.Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Linda Sue Jones Tomlinson; very special friend, Becky Million, whom Mary Sue always called “Nikki; step grandson, Larry Keith Tomlinson and wife, Crystal; two step great granddaughters, Sydney Tomlinson Thompson and Caleb and Lindsey Tomlinson; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel.A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Robert Fletcher and Rev. Charles Wallen.A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Section “F.” Pallbearers will be family and friends.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to Amedisys Hospice, 116 Jack White Dr., Kingsport, TN 37660.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Superior Caregivers, who we feel were “God sent people” who provided loving care for all of mothers’ needs 24/7 during her illness and Smokey Mountain Medical.
