Wilma Byington

Wilma D. Reese Byington, 90, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord, Monday, April 29, 2019, Wexford House after a long illness.She was born in Dandridge, TN and had lived in Kingsport most of her life.Mrs. Byington was a member of Depew’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, working word search books, cooking and loved spending time with her family.Mrs. Byington was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac “Barney” Byington; three sisters and two brothers.Surviving are her son, Terry Byington; daughter, Sherry Hyatt and husband, Paul; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Last Supper with Pastor Nathan Ware officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:50 pm.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Depew’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 2950 Reservoir Rd., Kingsport, TN 37660.The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Wexford House.The care of Wilma Byington and her family has been entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.Read Obituary
